Peter Scoular can put even the most camera-shy individual completely at ease in front of the lense. His quick sense of humour and down-to-earth nature is what allows him to connect with his subjects and extraordinary images.

Peter was born and raised in Banff. He studied in Vancouver, at the prestigious Studio 58, the only conservatory-style theatre training program in Western Canada. He performed in front of the camera for years, appearing in feature films including Wolf Cop, commercials for SaskPower and Nike, and television shows such as The X-files, Da Vinci’s Inquest, and of course, Corner Gas, for which his mother is the most proud!

As a photographer, he is best known for his powerful family portraits, commercial work, and fine art prints. Peter's images have been published in major newspapers and magazines. He has photographed rock stars, models and babies (very similar in fact), and the beautiful prairie people and landscape.

Currently calling Regina home, Peter refuses to buy a winter coat. To the delight of his children, he prefers to let his mountain man personality protect him from the elements as he searches out Saskatchewan’s most inspiring subjects.
